A very sensible post. You dont need to have ur life around the GC and Priority dates. You need to do what u want to as much as within ur limits.. But one thing is USCIS can be staright forward and say EB-I wont move for such and such time and people can still plan better... :)
I agree. On an average, it seems, one spends just about 6 yrs to get his/her GC. That's nearly 20% of our productive "employment" life. At some point in the process, one starts to wonder if he/she can lay their roots in this country.
It is not an easy or trivial task to "just move on" and pursue plan B or plan C.
With passage of time, the priorities and the drive of people change.
So, the immigration system should be quick and transparent.
If you notice in daily life, there is always a "good-faith" disclosure of terms and conditions before signing up for anything. And both parties strive to keep their end of the deal.
That's all we are really asking from the SYSTEM - "If you are willing to open the gates for immigrants, please process their applications to the best extent possible and don't hold up our lives"

But at the end of day, the controlling or executive authorities have to show some empathy to those that are left hanging. Rules are made to help people and they should not become an excuse to punish [PR process delayed is justice denied, truly] the common folks instead.
President Obama has stated he would like have an empathetic judge on the supreme court. Likewise, we need someone heading the immigration system that empathizes with the lives of prospective PR lot.
What can we do to seek such a leader or change?

Long term USA bonds are toast. You can short them instead of buying.
Why should China/Taiwan/Arab get out of Gold? There are no strong indicators for doing that for now.
I cannot stop but laugh at your insistence that USA is global economic engine. More than half of the population is in deep debt and their population is ageing fast. Students can't borrow money now on easy terms to dund their education. THere is virtually no appetite for more debt to fire the economic engine at all.
Physical gold and silver is best to possess.
Equity is down 20% to 30% in developing world and 50 to 70% down in emerging world over 7 trading days, but gold/silver/platinum is just hanging on there, so get out of commodities which would not help you at all, best option is stay in long term USA bonds for security or buy south east Asia bonds which would be right choice for long term

That is already happening in state chapters. In my opinion IV still has a need to remain "grass root" organization. And as long as that is needed, "Recurring Contribution" would be more attractive tool. Once we set "Paid membership" concept it will instituionalize and in my opinion at this early stage it is not
advisable.

i dont think they are hiding any numbers from EB3 ppl..thay are just following the rules book to the letter...
and since only one group of ppl are affected..they dont want to take the pain of fixing the immigration mess...4-5 years is a normal lag for ROW and non retrogressed nations...
You can go to USCIS website they have
information of Freedom of information act..specified..you can get ur dose of reality check if you want...
instead of that you can be more proactive and support IV campaings!
Is IV interested in doing a Freedom Of Information Act request to USCIS how and when they used up all visa numbers for EB3-India. That might show some information if they cooked the numbers if at all. We might get some more insight which monthly VISA bulletin does NOT give.

I had been researching this entire week. Well, I haven't found any company so far from anywhere that has actually covered pre-existing conditions for visitors to United States.
Therefore, I believe that visitors insurance would help in case of any new medical conditions, or injuries that were to occur after buying the policy. Insurance is really not for pre-existing conditions. (Someone gave me a couple of examples, would you really get house insurance after the house is on fire? Or car insurance after you had a car crash?) I think that regarding pre-existing conditions, we are on our own. I think that we need to take that risk ourselves if we want to invite someone with pre-existing conditions as no one else will take away our headache so that we can safely invite our parents. Being from Bania community, I know for sure that no company will do business in loss by really covering pre-existing conditions, even if emergency.
For now, I have purchased comprehensive coverage from US based company and I hope for the best.

More likely cause is that the letter from the applicant notifying his new job never reached/registered in CIS systems.
Did the person send the letter in time? Was there any intermediate change in status between NOID and actual denial status? This is crucial to know before jumping to conclusions.
It was received well within time. If they don't receive resonse to request for evidence; they specifically mention it in the denial.
right now; there is issue with on-line case status with uscis. Not always updating. This is not what it is.

I think we should ask them something like "When it takes 7-10 yrs for a legal immigrant to get his green card, what would be your estimate for illegal immigrants to get their green card / citizenship when they are sent to the back of the line as per your plan? Don't you think that there are more serious issues with the immigration dept (USCIS) which is one of the causes for long waits legal immigrants face? If so do you have any plans of taking a first step to fix the agency (USCIS) problems before implementing CIR, which could break the agency because of the additional 13 million application from illegal immigrants?"
